This first in a series of Art Build Trainings of 2018 will focus on stencil making and creating signs for protests and nonviolent direct actions (NVDA).
There will be a presentation of historic and contemporary protest signs and as well as a discussion on how to come up with effective messaging and the means to turn slogans into powerful works of movement visuals.
Learn about materials, tools, and tips for quick art production on any budget. Participants will also have an opportunity to share what movement visuals have been impactful to them and have an opportunity to work on signs to be used in campaigns around Providence.
